Pine Script v6 · TradingView

Describe a strategy. Get code that compiles.

Write what you want the indicator or strategy to do in your own words. Algo Studio returns complete Pine v6, checked before it reaches you, ready to paste into TradingView.

  • 42 checks before you see it
  • Usually right on the first attempt
  • Indicators and strategies

How it works

  1. 1Describe it in plain English

"Plot a 20 EMA and mark when price closes above it for three bars." No syntax, no function names, no template to fill in.

  2. 2It gets checked before you see it

Forty-two static checks run on the output. If something fails, the exact error goes back to the model and it tries again - you are not the debugger.

  3. 3Copy it into TradingView

Complete Pine v6, ready to paste into the editor and add to a chart. Download the file if you would rather keep it.

  4. 4If TradingView complains, paste the error back

The original script and the compiler text go to the model together, and the fix is saved as a new version. Your working version is never overwritten.

What it does not do

It will
  • Turn your rules into Pine v6 that compiles
  • Catch its own errors and retry with the exact message
  • Keep every version so you can go back to one
  • Take TradingView's compiler text and fix against it
It will not
  • Tell you whether the strategy is profitable
  • Guarantee TradingView accepts every script
  • Know what you meant if the rules are vague
  • Replace understanding what you are trading

We backtested one of our own generated strategies in TradingView and it lost money: profit factor 0.939 over 19 trades, 36.84% win rate, 2.80% maximum drawdown. That number stays on this page. A generator that only ever produces flattering backtests is one you should not trust, and neither should we.

Questions

Do I need to know Pine Script?

No. Describing the rules is the whole input. Reading the result helps you learn the language, but nothing requires it.

Will the script definitely compile?

It passes forty-two checks before you see it, which catches the errors that make Pine fail to compile. That is not the same as a guarantee, and the page tells you so rather than promising otherwise.

Does it write strategies as well as indicators?

Both. It infers which you meant from how you describe it, and you can override that. Strategies come back with entries, exits and the order calls TradingView needs to backtest them.

Will a generated strategy make money?

No tool can tell you that, and one that claims to is selling something. A strategy we generated and backtested in TradingView lost money - profit factor 0.939 across 19 trades. We keep that number here because it is the honest one.

Is my script private?
